Installing an oil check valve in the '09-'11 600R
This should really be done by a machine shop or engine builder.
For adding a check valve in the top case: Drill in the top half of the cases 1 3/16" above the split on the cases
and directly in the center above the cross shaft using a 1/8" drill bit. We recommend
splitting the cases to do this however many people are drilling this out
while also using a high power shop vacuum to catch the shavings with great
success. See the minimal shavings picture below without use of a vacuum.
When drilling out the second stage for the check valve we recommend only
drilling to the depth needed to install the check valve. Measure the
first/second smallest part of the check valve collar and use the correct
size of drill bit. If your completely new to this you should drill a test
hole in a sheet of metal and check to make sure the check valve will fit
tight once it is tapped into place. Do not tap it into the test sheet
metal.

We recommend running premix while any bubbles are worked out of your new
oil injection system. Be sure to use the bleeder screw to get the
air bubbles out of the oil lines then be sure to tighten it up afterwards.
