When the track is to tight or you have done a skid relocation similar to the one for the '05's (drilling out and dropping it one hole for the front of the skid)
Many of the new tracks are at a tighter tolerance than those of the past. I actually spoke with Camoplast about this a couple years back. Some of the tracks are in the 120" range instead of being over 121" This is usually OK for production model sleds but our racers seem to be a bit tighter. Here is one thing you can try.
You can grind the idler spacers so that they will slide further forward. You need to grind off the inside each spacer so it will slide further forward in the channel. Then you will need to grind 2 of the spacers on the front side so that they can slide closer to the adjuster block. Then also grind the end of the rail so the track will clear before reassembling. Use a straight edge to check for 3/16" clearance. If your rear wheels are touching the rear torque stop shaft then move the shaft to the next hole forward. You can also get a little slack by running slightly thinner (by 1/8") hifax like the profile 23 form Garland. This is very similar to the hifax used on the Edge chassis only it goes on easier.

Now reinstall the suspension and see if it relieved your track tension. If not then you may have to actually cut out some of the rail channel further forward and then drill out your adjuster block and locate it further forward. If you do this mod we recommend trying to turn your spacer around backwards (180 degrees) and reinstall them. This will stop the shaft from rubbing against the rails you have just cut.
